Valeria Corso
is an Italian Pop singer songwriter, composer, and sound engineer of 25 years old. Growing up in a music-loving family, she began studying classical piano at the young age of 6, which was accompanied by a passion for singing that had gradually taken over her career. At 13, she started taking Jazz voice lessons with some of the greatest singers of Sicily: Anita Vitale, Lucy Garcia, and Flora Faja.
In September 2013 she won a scholarship called “High School Program”, promoted by the Italian Ministry of Education, that led her to the United States in January 2014, achieving a Diploma from Orono High School.
In 2015 she attended Berklee College of Music, declaring “Contemporary Writing & Production” and “Performance” as her dual major. She won a scholarship and made it through the Dean’s List. In Spring 2018 she also won the Contemporary Writing & Production Academic Merit Award for her outstanding achievement in the department. In Fall 2018 she graduated from Berklee earning a Bachelor Degree in Contemporary Writing & Production Summa Cum Laude.
After college, Valeria moved to New York to work as Sound Engineer at Pulse Music, Inc. She composed music for WGBH Radio, won the Hollywood Music in Media Award 2019 for Best Instrumental as Sound Engineer, worked as Composer Assistant for a Movie called “To Be Of Service” featuring Bon Jovi’s song “Unbroken”. She recorded many artists for. both commercials and album purposes. In the meantime, she performed as Lead Singer for the great K2 Band of “Kahootz Entertainment” based in Boston.
In September 2021 she moved to Norway to attend LIMPI and was selected to go to Los Angeles (LAAMP) for an exchange student program of 2 weeks. Throughout that year she’s had the pleasure to meet and work with many talented musicians, such as Emily Warren, Sarah Hudson, Kiesza, Stargate, Seeb, Julie Bergan, Dagny, and many more.
